ESA and 529 Qualified Tuition Programs

What are ESA and 529 Qualified Tuition Programs?

An ESA is an education savings account that a person uses to pay for a student's education. It's also called a Coverdell Education Savings Account.

A 529 qualified tuition program is a program that lets a person, such as a parent, pay for a student's tuition by setting aside money now for future use. Students who use this money get a 1099-Q.
